Lilia Poliahu Studio
Lilia Poliahu Studio was created as a way for Kanaka Maoli Artist, Lilia Lorenzo, to share and perpetuate ʻIke and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi through hana pāheona or contemporary art. Born on the island of Oʻahu and raised on Maui, her Kanaka Maoli centered art draws inspiration from both the ʻāina and kanaka that she has come in contact with. Lilia also holds a BA in Hawaiian Studies with a focus on Native Hawaiian Creative Expression and a BA in Hawaiian Language. In addition to running her own business, she has worked with and created graphics for non-profit organizations and schools such as, Punanā Leo o Mānoa, Kīpuka Native Hawaiian Student Center, and Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi. Although her career as an artist and small business owner has just begun, she hopes to create artwork and products that showcase the beauty of the culture and lifestyle here in Hawaiʻi.
